d something even better. I ended up with the Riley ballgown by Eddy K. I purchased an additional yard of fabric to widen the straps in the back for more coverage. They made the dress buying process and alterations extremely easy. It was so nice to be able to buy the dress and do alterations at the same facility. I will forever recommend this business.

as incredible leading up to the day before my wedding. Sharon, the owner, was very kind and helped me find my dream dress in no time. The alterations process was also excellent. They assured me they would safely store my dress and my mom’s dress until the day before my wedding and also steam them. Because of our great experience up to this point, we trusted them and set an appointment to pick up our dresses the day before my wedding. They repeatedly told us we could pick up our dresses any time after our scheduled noon appointment that day. The day before my wedding, my mom and I arrived at 2:42pm to see a note on the door that said they would be right back and to text their number for assistance. My mom immediately texted them, and I called and got no response. We both texted and called several more times and never got a response. I began to panic that I would not get my dream wedding dress and worse, not have a dress to wear on my wedding day. After over half an hour I heard someone in the courtyard and got her attention. It was Katrin, the owner of Affare, the restaurant next door. She brought my mom and me inside her restaurant even though it was closed and brought me Kleenex and water. Luckily, she had Sharon’s phone number and called her. Sharon gave the door code to Katrin who helped us get our dresses (which were not steamed). It was around 4pm by the time we left and we never saw a Gown Gallery employee return. If it wasn’t for the kindness shown by Katrin, we wouldn’t have been able to pick up our dresses that day. If they intended to close the shop early that day, they should have called to inform us, as they knew we had an appointment and that the wedding was the following day. My mom reached out to the Gown Gallery after the wedding asking for an explanation, wanting to ensure this wouldn’t happen to someone else, and still has not received any response (2 months later). We understand things happen, but not providing an explanation or apology was insulting and careless. If you do purchase anything from this store, I highly recommend picking it up well in advance despite what they tell you.

They were a tad costly, but I paid all upfront and was able to add on as many small tweaks as needed without additional charges. They were super helpful when I wanted to try it on 4 different times, and we received it nice and steamed. Really the only downside to gown gallery was trying on dresses were a little more public and not as private as some of the other salons I went to.

. There is little to no transparency in this company whatsoever. I was told multiple times in December I would have my dress and now just radio silence. I have not received any information about my wedding dress order, who knows if it’s even been ordered, and my wedding is only a few months away. The ordering department person is always out of the office, never responds to messages/emails, and voicemail is full. I’m so frustrated and upset. All I want is the dress I fell in love with and the thought of not having that on my wedding day just ruins this entire experience for me. I know I’m not the only one going through this, and shame on The Gown Gallery for not attempting to do better for their brides!!

ped. We were not offered anything to drink like at most bridal shops. The consultant who helped us was nice, but did not bring out dresses that fit the style I asked for at all. Brides are not allowed to look through their collection of dresses and pick out what they want to try on. Our consultant would disappear in the back to retrieve dresses for long periods of time. I think we only tried on 4 dresses our entire 1.5 hour appointment.

My mom also got her MOB dress through the gown gallery and had just of an amazing experience as I did. I cannot thank them enough for helping me find THE dress for my wedding day.

op that carried Hayley Paige. I had my heart set on a Hayley Paige dress. The consultant who worked with us made it very clear she wasn't excited to be there. The first thing she said when she sat down with us was a complaint about her period craps. During the appointment my mom and I got frustrated with each other and I began to cry. The consultant completely ignored me being upset. At one point she left me in just my shape wear (no bra) crying, in the fitting room while she went to get more dresses. I somewhat regret buying from here now that I know more about other bridal shops in KC that are AMAZING!

She got a good feel for what my day was going to be like, and pulled some AMAZING dresses for me to try on (and they had plenty in my size!). The first few were exactly like the photos I had showed her. They were stunning, but I think she could tell I was not as excited about them as I imagined I would be. She told me she thought she knew the perfect dress and asked if I would be willing to try on something a little different than what I thought I wanted. I am SO GLAD I did, because Eboni's pick ended up being my dress! And one of the best parts about my experience, is that I felt there was no pressure to buy a dress that day. It was 100% my choice, and Eboni made sure I tried on plenty of options before we finally went back for one last try on of her pick. Would recommend the Gown Gallery to anyone and everyone, and I am so happy I found my dress here.

I had another appointment at another bridal salon right afterwards and I was transparent with her that I wasn’t ready to commit until after I went there and made sure this was my final decision. She told me that I could come back afterwards if I decided this was my dress and that’s exactly what I did! My dress was ready to be picked up within 4 months. When I went in to pick up my dress, try on, and pick out a veil (during Covid) Robin was working with me and another customer (prom dress), which was kind of frustrating considering I had made an appointment and would have preferred to have been her only customer during the time, but their system had went down that day, so maybe that had something to do with it. Overall, I enjoyed my time at Gown Gallery and I am looking forward to wearing the beautiful dress that Robin helped me pick out! Thank you, Robin!!!

Robin is amazing, she immediately understood my vision for my dress, she could adapt quickly to every whim and change of mind and style I had, and never tried to push me to decide, gave me and my family space to discuss, made me feel so comfortable even when something didn't fit me, or I didn't like something. After I chose my dress, she remained invested in the process, helping with several photo-ops and was so enjoyable to celebrate with. I recommend the Gown Gallery and Robin specifically very highly.

fitting department is absolutely amazing. And they were the only bridal salon, beside Kleinfeld, that had the designers and dresses I loved. If you are able, go to these ladies!

was the only bridal shop I went to (out of 5) that was extremely unhelpful during my appointment and didn’t allow a stylist in the fitting room with me. When we arrived the stylist sat down with me for 60 seconds (literally) and asked a question or two about my dream dress. She then brought a rack of dresses out and put them in a fitting room. I was left to take the dresses out of the bags and get them on by myself. She would zip/button the back once I was finished. Once I walked out of the dressing room my stylist walked away. She didn’t help to fluff the dress, listen to what I liked/didn’t like about the dress, make suggestions, etc. At one point we asked for a belt to go with a dress. She said she “couldn’t find the silver belt, so here was a gold one.” So, do they only have one belt in silver and one belt in gold in their inventory? The gold obviously didn’t match so I just took it off and sat it to the side. I spotted the silver belt in the showroom, so we grabbed it and put it on. I asked for a vail in a specific length and she brought me the vail in the length but it didn’t match the dress whatsoever. The A/C wasn’t turned on and it was a hot day. The windows were open, I was wearing a mask, plus I was having to take the dresses out/put back in the bags and get the gown on myself. Needless to say it was HOT and I was miserable which took away all of the fun of trying on dresses. I just wanted to leave. I made a comment that I was so hot I felt like I was going to pass out. The stylist said well I don’t want you passing out on me and she brought me a paper fan. That’s when she made the comment that the A/C wasn’t turned on. I ended up leaving after trying on a handful of dresses and took my business elsewhere.

it me properly. I think only 2 of the gowns I tried on actually zipped all the way up. Also, the people there are not very personable. The whole time I was trying on dresses (1 1/2+ hours) my consultant did not say very much, and she was just handing me dresses to step into, instead of helping me get them on. I think this store is more geared towards people in a higher income class, and with a smaller frame.

were never pushy, trying to get me to buy a dress. Everyone working made my entire party feel welcomed, and they also were all very knowledgable about the gowns they had. I went twice and worked with Shania and Eboni. They were both really great, and in the end, helped me find the dress!

She achieved an ability I had not yet witnessed - the ability to listen and react to my energy. Robin shared things with me regarding her personal life that allowed me to relax with regard to my emotion, insecurities, and decision. Robin is truly one of a kind in this industry. I have complete confidence that she could make every bride she sees, of all shapes, sizes, and personalities, feel comfortable and confident. This is something very rare, in my experience. Robin shatters the necessity to matching a consultant with a personality. She can simply do it all. Robin is absolutely phenomenal.
